Bizz Buzz Border?
This quilt top is finished. Do you think it needs a border, and if so, what color? Binding color suggestions also welcome.

Here are some solid and tonal choices I have . Never mind the width, just messing with colors.

I like the dark gray or the purple.
I'm sorry. I'm having trouble resizing my photo of the whole, unbordered quilt. Can you see the two photos above that have audition borders on them?

I have the black or real dark popping out, that is what I'd use. I love all the colors. They don't need them in the border. It is the frame and I love the quilt. Just my useless opinion. LOL

Your potential border fabrics are all good choices. Personally, I like the magenta or the yellow in the second photo. Great top!

No border needed. I would just bind in the dark grey or sage green. If you want it to pop go with the orange or yellow.
Love your fabrics! I agree with Toverly that there's no need for a wide border of any kind and I would go with the orange binding unless you have some of the black/white stripey fabric.

I like the orange.
It would look great with or without a border. For a border, I like the dark magenta because it is similar to, but not exactly the same as the magenta that is already in the quilt so it blends with them and also works well with the orange and it contrasts nicely with the teals and greens.

I agree with the no border needed idea. Binding could be orange or one of the darkest colors. Looks black/dark purple.
I love the orange

I love the grey in the first pic for a calming influence or the raspberry color in the second f you want to go bright all the way to the edge. For binding if you go grey I'd use one of the very dark colors like the purple. If you go raspberry, I'd bind with the yellow.

Thank you all for your votes and input. Stay tuned to see which color(s) I decided to use.
I think it stands on its own with out a boarder. It is beautiful and the colors in it speak for themselves.
I like the mint green in the first pic and the purple in the second pic.
I liked the darker blue on the left of the first picture and the purple on the left of the second but then you brought out the orange! The orange is "non-traditional" and would let that quilt be one of a kind. Would it overpower the rest of the quilt with the amount used for border though? Only a consideration if you preview it with more showing.
Very pretty quilt! I like the magenta and the orange for borders and I would use the same fabric for binding. It would also look nice without a border. Depends on the size you want, the colors you like best, and the time of year you are going to use it. The orange border and colors remind me of fall. Whatever you choose, it will be beautiful.
I like the black it doesn't detract from all the colors in the quilt.
I like the light teal and the dark purple. Both in first photo. And I do like the gold in the bottom

have you thought to add a small sash around in a neutral as I see white in some of your fabrics and then add maybe black as that would make your blocks pop?
My vote is the magenta. Nice quilt.
Magenta for me. Cool quilt!

gold/yellow ......
I would do a black border and a multi color binding. Beautiful piecing, love your quilt!
I like the magenta or yellowish gold in the second picture. I think that makes your whole quilt look great. I also feel that a solid looking fabric would be nice since your quilt blocks are busy. Beautiful and colorful quilt BTW. Please share a picture of your decision when it is finished.
I love the magenta
No border. Bind in the purple or magenta (depends on if you want to brighten it up a bit).
I'm an odd one -- my favorite is the aqua, with the magenta a close second. Any one of them would look great, however. Great quilt!

No border. Binding in the yellow or orange.
Magenta or orange would be my choice. Beautiful quilt!
Yellow, yellow, yellow! I think you will smile each time you look at your quilt if you use the yellow.
Oh this is a hard call for me. I'm thinking the gray gives the guilt balance and allows all the colors to show. But the orange (right side of your picture) really makes the quilt stand out.

I would do a black border....only color that would make all of the others pop.
My first choice would be magenta, my second would be the teal.
