I think the contrast is nice and gives it interest. I would not change it. Don't second guess yourself.

I rather like the blue too, it seems to give some nice movement to the block.

If that's going to be the only blue in the quilt, I would probably change it out.

I've noticed that when pictures are taken with camera phones, they tend to throw a yellow tinge on everything. After taking a picture of the current quilt I'm working on and losing so many things in it, I said enough and I pulled out my Fujifilm camera. I won't be posting anymore pictures from my phone.

As far as the blue, I would keep it in. The small splash the blue will make will cause the eye to drift across the quilt like it should.

Most smart phones have basic photo editing features that can compensate for that. :thumbup:

You have probably finished your blocks by now, but I hope you left the “blue” strips in the blocks! Your paisley stars are gorgeous, too! Love this pattern, and just can’t decide on colors.
