That is a beautiful quilt! What a beautiful finish after 15 years! Your UFO is fair bound, too. Very exciting. I hope you were able to find everything from the thread you were looking for. Sounds like a fun project, too. Congratulations!!

Sorry to resurrect this from almost 15 years ago...but I finally finished this HAHAHAH. I should have put in for 24 blocks not just 12... or maybe added several borders, but it is what it is. Haha, I didn't go anywhere fancy, life just kind of got in the way. For a while I had gone over to Shadow Dancer's forum... I don't know what happened to that group :/ I haven't stopped sewing, but I mostly make clothes and stuff now, lots of stuff for my kids, machine embroidery. I'm also heavily involved in competitive sports (I do cheer and gymnastics 4 times a week, my daughter does cheer 2x a week, my son has gymnastics 3 times a week and we all do karate including my husband) and I have a pesky full time job that eats up all my fun time LOL. I miss making quilts, but I have SO MANY.

As for my quilt, sadly it didn't win anything at the fair, I submitted it into the group quilt category but I think the judges were looking for something that was assembled and quilted as a group, not individual blocks sewn by 12 different people, and assembled and quilted by one person. Because for originality and interesting back story, mine was definitely the coolest. I won 1st place for one of my quilt blocks though, and all my artwork won ribbons.
