Serger thread is weak thread. It's meant to be used with other cones of thread on the serger to make it a sturdy stitch.

But it's ok to piece with right? Because in the end the whole item will be stabilized with the quilting which is done with real, honest to goodness thread.

I DON'T if I am going to do FMQ. You will have a bit of the bobbin pop up on the front of your quilt.
