The Sidewinder doesn't work for the green Viking bobbins. It also doesn't work for the bobbins that my Pfaff 60 treadle uses, the inside of the bobbin is too small to fit. For me the Sidewinder was a waste of money. Sharon |
I use the one on the machine.

I found the bobbin winder on my Janome 350E does the best bobbins of all of my machines--nothing to get "caught" and no worries about lint. One day, just as an experiment, I used up a complete cone of thread (5000 meters). It took 99 bobbins to use it up. Almost all of my bobbins were empty--I use a lot when I start embroidering.
I used the time to clean up my sewing room. |
Bobbin winder
I totally love my bobbin winder... so much easier than the machine......
it was worth every penny I paid a good long time ago.. |
Ive used both! Liked little bobbin winder but cant find it! Like bobbin winders on top of machines but i have old machines with winders on side or bottom n just cant get the hang of them! I just wind 10 or more at one time!

I use my machine also. I wind lots at a time.

For my Vikings, I only use the machine because the bobbin winder winds in the wrong direction for it, My machine lets me wind while I'm sewing so it works out great. It works fine for my little Kenmore but its usually faster just to wind it on the machine.

What is the purpose of ****** in your titles?

A friend gifted me with a sleeve of pre-wounds and now I doubt I will wind many more bobbins in my lifetime. Since I am a piece and not a quilter, I really only need natural or gray thread. Before that, I used the winder on my machine.
