I like the brown next to the hexies also. I would audition black or more brown for the binding and maybe even a dark mustard color. My eyes see the orange binding distracting from the wolf border. Maybe when you get a longer line of binding going it will look cool.

personally I'd want to break it up to make the border pop and use a solid tone like the gold or rust in the hexie's and not the brown again...Then use the same color for all...borders/binding...

I think the brown strip on both sides of the small hexies not only frames them but it also gives the eyes a start/stop point. And, by the way, that top looks wonderful and I can appreciate how much work you put into it!

Another vote for brown first.....however I'd also audition a non-wolf fabric. The mustard colour would frame it very well, I think. The wolf fabric for the border - to my eye - just seems to blend and fade into the brown. |
