The blue is great. Bith are pretty but, the blue makes the whole thing pop.

Marni 02-13-2012 05:07 AM

# 2 would be my choice.

#1piecemaker 02-13-2012 05:07 AM

I like the one with the big blue border. Either of them looks good though. so, you can't go wrong.

I "tried" the green out, but it made me realize this fabric is sort of directional, which I didn't realize. The green made the stems stand out, and some looked upside down. Tried purple too, and light blue. None of them appealed to me.

Here is where I am now. I think I'll bind in blue.

Looks like we all agree that #2 is the one.

2manyhobbies 02-13-2012 05:35 AM

The wider blue on the inside gets my vote. The white border next to white blocks makes it look like something is 'spilling over'. Beautiful quilt....I love the blue and blue floral.

Quilting Angel 02-13-2012 05:48 AM

Very pretty quilt. I prefer # 2

Mgrubbs 02-13-2012 05:58 AM

which border?

I love no. 2 best. What is the size of your quilt and pattern you used?

GammaLou 02-13-2012 05:58 AM

I agree with the rest that#2 is best. Beautiful quilt!

mucky 02-13-2012 06:02 AM

It needs a stopper and preferably not a color in the quilt but maybe picking up some other color from the print. The stopper does not need to be very wide. Possibly only 1/2 inch.

It is 64" x 76". The pattern is called Road to Springfield. I got it from a book called Mystery Quilts by Rita Fishel. It may be available elsewhere too, not sure. I got this book for Christmas and it was purchased from Amazon...if that helps.

I like #2 best also.

Pieces2 02-13-2012 06:59 AM

I prefer #2,the blue, the white border seems to take over the quilt.

KyKaren1949 02-13-2012 07:00 AM

In my opinion, in the first one with white as the inner border, the white is lost into the quilt. You don't even notice it as a border. In the second one, both borders pop because they quilt is separated by the blue border. If it were mine, I would put the blue closest to the quilt, then the white as the second border out.

joyce j 02-13-2012 07:00 AM

I think #2 is better it really draws your eye to the quilt. Joyce j

Both are very pretty but I think the second is the best.

Blue inside, too much white for me.

nana2madmax 02-13-2012 08:07 AM

i vote for number 2 also. It really "frames" the center.

CarrieC 02-13-2012 08:09 AM

I loved #1 until I saw #2. The difference was amazing! So my vote is #2

Rose Burnett 02-13-2012 08:16 AM

You made a great choice. I voted for #2; I liked the way the blue blocks joined the border and completed the design.
The floral fabric is lovely.

gypsylady5 02-13-2012 08:31 AM

I Like Number 2. Great fabric.

Holly J. 02-13-2012 08:35 AM

No. 2 is my preference. Your quilt is lovely!

JoanneS 02-13-2012 09:05 AM

I like the blue inside. It stops the eye before the border begins. Lovely quilt!

IdahoSandy 02-13-2012 09:07 AM

The darker wider blue for border and also for the binding to pull it all together. Really nice quilt and love your colors.

QandE2010 02-13-2012 09:08 AM

I definitely prefer #2. It gives the eye a place to rest and defines the quilt. I see you have now decided on #2. Good choice and thanks for sharing.

I agree with everyone else :) Will look very complete with your blue binding - very nice job!!!

JUNEC 02-13-2012 10:20 AM

I love the second one with the blue on the inside - beautiful flowers in your blocks

lbc 02-13-2012 10:49 AM

I vote for #2

matraina 02-13-2012 11:10 AM

I like the one with the blue inner border. To tell you the truth, I didn't ev en realize there was a white border in the other one. I tthought it was part of the body of the quilt.

trolleystation 02-13-2012 11:52 AM

I vote for #2.

southernmema 02-13-2012 12:18 PM

Love number 2, very pretty quilt!

Taino Jan 02-13-2012 12:54 PM

Vote for 2, and nice quilt.

essaytx 02-13-2012 01:22 PM

Number 2 has a more finished look to me. Nice quilt!

fmhall2 02-13-2012 01:25 PM

I like the blue on the inside, then white and ending with blue.

glenda5253 02-13-2012 01:27 PM

#2 definitely with blue binding. Don't see using green, IMHO. Great quilt!

KimS 02-13-2012 01:35 PM

My vote is for the second one. Very pretty quilt!! :)

annies-best 02-13-2012 01:39 PM

#2 gets my vote but both are gorgeous just a lot of white in #1
