If you like it as is, then it's good. But I personally, love, love, love borders on my quilts, so I would put a border on it. :)

sewmom 02-02-2011 07:38 AM

What i do when i can't make up my mind is audition certain fabrics or ideas. Pin a 6" strip next to it on your wall and look at it for a few days or use your digital camera and take pictures of the different ideas. then you can compare them side by side. pick the one that catches your eye. It looks great now, but a certain border might just WOW it!

SandyMac 02-02-2011 08:00 AM

If you like it the way it is call it done. There are no quilt police.

katlady 02-02-2011 08:06 AM

Keep it the way it is now very cute.

irma tapia 02-02-2011 08:13 AM

I agree. Very cute quilt

AnnieH 02-02-2011 08:26 AM

I vote small red border. Lovely top.

dphelps 02-02-2011 08:54 AM

I think i would either use a thin red border or bind it in red.

SittingPretty 02-02-2011 09:03 AM

A red binding would be very pretty and a nice finishing touch.

wakrueger 02-02-2011 09:06 AM

I think a red border would look great.

Iamquilter 02-02-2011 11:59 AM

If it was mine I would either bind it in red or put on a thin red border. But it is a beautiful quilt.

sewingsuz 02-02-2011 12:04 PM

It is really cute. maybe a cream or red small boarder would be nice.

Deenie 02-02-2011 12:35 PM

I was told once by a really good quilter the the border is like framing a picture. I love the quilt, great job!

plmaher 02-02-2011 01:05 PM

Darling quilt! I would add a red border- maybe 2" to 3" wide would set it off.

Jill 02-02-2011 01:14 PM

One thing I absolutely love about quilting is that it is my quilt and I can do whatever I want. If you don't want a border, don't do it. If you do, then do it. I've changed many patterns and haven't regretted it yet.

Jo Mama 02-02-2011 01:28 PM

A green pine branch or pine cone border would be very cute. Or you could go just the opposite and do blue with snowflakes in it.

gellybean402 02-02-2011 01:32 PM

I agree if you like it and the size is good for you, then leave it be! If you arn't sure, Put it up on a design wall or something with a border next to it (unsewn) to see if you would like it better. If you take a picture of it with and without a border, it may help with your decision.
Good luck!

Scrap Happy 02-02-2011 02:09 PM

What a beautiful quilt! It looks pretty the way it is. I would add a small white border to make the little snowman blocks stand out more and do a red binding. It's your quilt and whatever you do it's going to be cool! Pun intended :-P

amma 02-02-2011 03:44 PM

Stop here if you like it without any border :D:D:D

BettyGee 02-02-2011 04:01 PM

It looks very good as it is, but with a red border it would be magnificent.

auntdeb 02-02-2011 04:17 PM

If you don't add a small border, you will cover up some of the pattern in your corner stones. Maybe would look a little off?? I think a small red border too. Cute quilt.

IDquilter 02-02-2011 04:23 PM

This is really a cute quilt, do whatever makes you happy. I would bind it in red though.

Rose Bagwell 02-02-2011 04:35 PM

I agree with a small border

EdieClay 02-02-2011 04:55 PM

It's your quilt. You don't have to add a border if you don't want one.

Snorky Lvs2Quilt 02-02-2011 05:43 PM

While red is my fav color, I really think a green that is in the quilt would be a great border or just a green binding. maybe a small green and finish with a red border and binding. Lots of options. Great quilt. Very cute.

IBQUILTIN 02-02-2011 05:55 PM

Its so cute like it is, and I agree, a red binding would finish it off just right

I think a black border or binding would pick up the color in the hats. J

Tweety2911 02-02-2011 07:25 PM

Beautiful quilt and a red binding would finish it off perfectly in my very humble opinion :-)

Annz 02-02-2011 07:41 PM

No you don't have to but one might be nice.

Lucy90 02-02-2011 08:18 PM

I would put a smaller red border around the quilt. Darling quilt.

craftyone27 02-02-2011 08:21 PM

Maybe do a red binding if you don't want to doa border. I always do borders on my quilts because I like them - this is your quilt do it how you like it!! Remember - No Quilt Police! Your quilt is adorable and will be great whatever way you decide to finish it!

bjr 02-02-2011 09:20 PM

I think a white border with red binding would set it off.

colleenancel 02-02-2011 10:24 PM

I agree that a red binding would perfectly finish it off. The only reason I say that is that it would make the green small edge blocks look more like part of the design. But it's wonderful the way it is,

If you like it that's all that matters. Leave it. I like the way it looks too.

Yes, I think the red border would "end it."

katigirl 02-03-2011 12:26 AM

It's up to you but I think a boder would be nice. :)

DONK 02-03-2011 01:58 AM

I would leave as is and bind it in red.

sewnserge 02-03-2011 08:32 AM

I think a black border would really make it pop!
