I machine stitch mine closed.

I wrote to the pattern maker about that and haven't heard back.
I just slip stitch it closed

I pull it up a bit and machine stitch it closed, then push it back down into the bag.

I hand stitch mine. I just can't bring myself to leave it open.

As long as the bottom is washable, stitch her up!
If not, stitch the opening closed and place the bottom in a sleeve and place in bottom of bag.

I always stitch mine closed.

I don't turn mine through the bottom. Instead, I leave my opening between the handles on the side withOUT the button strap. That way it is all pretty and no one can ever tell where it was turned and closed up.
