I think I have already asked this on my other thread I am not sure. So if I have already posted this question please forgive me.
How did you sew the bottom of your lining closed? By hand or machine? If by machine did you just make a small seam?

I just hand sewed it shut.

Me too. I sat there a while trying to decide if I needed to leave it open and there was some other step that I would need to do and have access to the bottom.

Yes, since it is covered by the bottom board, I just stitched my closed close to the edge. Easier and faster than hand stitching.

If you hold the edges together and use a larger zig zag catching the fabric only one the zig part of the stitch, you can lay them flat and it looks like a nice ladder stitch.

by hand.

redpurselady 08-19-2010 06:13 AM

I did mine by hand - nice clean finish and you can't tell it's not a regular seam.

I did mine by hand also. It looks crappy, butthen the harder bottom covers it so not a problem there. Huggies, Fay
