What about making the Garden Twist pattern and using the 4-patch poseys between the lattice? I think I'll try it for a full size guest bed...

I just need a fabric to fall in love with me. :-D

That quilt is on my bucket list. & when I do it, I am going to incorporate your 4p posie idea!!!!

Love it! You are ingenious.

Looks like a good idea!

Keep in mind that the larger blocks, you'll lose some of your 4PP as you'll be chopping off the corners with the trellis twist piece. With the two different sizes, you could do a smaller 4PP for the small blocks ... or use the original fabric.

Another similar one is my Double Rose Trellis pattern. You can have a look at it here.

The 4 patch posey gives directions for a number of different size squares so will probably work. I didn't use the garden twist but set mine on point with just thin sashing. I think you're idea will be even prettier. I'de send a pic but it's still on the frame cause I can't decide how to quilt it.

QuiltE ~ I've considered those options. I'll have to see what fabric I use and how I think it would look best. Love your Double Rose Trellis!

Does anyone know how large I would cut the posey blocks to end up with 7 1/2" blocks after they are cut and sewn back together. I'm thinking maybe cutting 8 1/2" and then squaring them up to 7 1/2". I don't actually have the 4-patch posey pattern.

Are you doing triangle or square 4PPs?

The trick would be to find the "right" trellis fabrics and you'd have one dynamite quilt. Wrong, and you'd lose the spectacle of the 4PP. Garden Twist only takes 2 trellis fabrics, my Double Rose Trellis uses 4.

I'm nudging you to do it .... just take your time for the "right" choices for all fabrics to be used!!!!!
