Fabric offered.......comments.......quality?

What I've bought has always been LQS quality and I've been very happy with my purchases. You should give it a try. You get such great deals.

I've purchased from a few people and have been peased with my purchases. Only time I wasn't was my fault for not asking a question about it. Everybody I bought from was good about working with me and answering my questions. Including getting more or better pictures for me to see.

If you mean the classifieds section of the board, you're not buying from the board. You're buying from individual members of the board. Fabric can be of any quality at all, and it is up to the seller to describe it, up to you to ask questions if you have any.

I have never had a bad experience with the purchases I have made from board members. The fabric has been wonderful and is at a great price.

Thanks for input on purchasing fab from individuals on board.....all was positive...I was just looking at some of the yard ages offered and it is coming from some huge stashes........now my question to me is do I really need it.....and the answer......OF COURSE!

Yes, you need to send the seller a PM asking any questions so that they are able to give you the answers you are seeking.

If in doubt ask, never had a problem with anyone not answering my questions! Alot of my stash comes from qb members!! :-)

With one exception, I've always been pleased with my purchases. Years ago, there was somebody selling who never filled orders, and there were several of them. A moderator got involved, there was an explanation of a sick family member,then car troubles, and so on. She'd run the same scam on another forum. To my knowledge, nobody got their money back and the person was banned. Those types of experiences are few and far between, I'm sure.

The items I've purchased were specific brand fabrics, not labeled simply "LQS quality." There are scads of threads about big box fabrics being the same as LQS fabrics; if a seller is of that mind (and everyone is entitled to their opinion), then they could be selling just about anything.

If the price is right and that's okay for you, give it a whirl. Or ask before buying if, should you not be pleased, if they would allow you to return it. My guess is that most people would be okay with that, but you'd lose on shipping costs both ways, as well as possibly having to wait on having money refunded.

Personally, I'd rather just buy those that are brands I am familiar with.

I have bought most of my stash from people on this board. Only one time did I get fabric that I thought was inferior cotton fabric. The rest is good quality cotton quilting fabric. I buy from a few select sellers whom i trust to sell quality goods.

I haven't purchased alot from the board members but have most definitely been pleased with what I have purchased. Give it a try.

I haven't been able to find the classifieds since the new format, where and how do I find them? Thanks!

Several years ago, the local JoAnn's was closed. Another one recently opened in another town and we were excited to have another. On my first visit, I determined the quality of their fabrics was so poor that I have not returned. I did not look at their decorator fabrics, but there was nothing suitable for my quilts.

I agree the quality is so important and I also think the members of this board are honest about their items for sale. Aren't we all sisters and brothers?

I find that when a lesser quality fabric is offered, it is specified as such and also priced as such, so you know what you are getting. I have never been disappointed by purchases made from board members.
To find the classified section, go to the top of any page and click on the HOME tab. Then you will find yourself on the home page and it lists each category by title. Just scroll down, it's pretty near the bottom, till you find Items For Sale or Trade.

Have always had a great buy each time, fabric is always top notch.

Almost every piece of fabric I have in my ever growing stash has been bought from members on the QB. Like Vondae...I have a couple that I mostly buy from and I have always been happy with what I got. Besides...I love their prices, too!! Hope you decide to give the QB a chance!!!

Go the home page and scroll down to "items for sale or trade". Easy to find. I had trouble at first too.

I've always been satisfied with the fabrics I have purchased.

I have 3 that I purchase from and I have never, ever been dissatisfied. I love all that has been purchased from these ladies on this board. They are honest and the fabric is wonderful.

Ivenever had a problem, ask questions if in doubt. Ive built up my stash from qb members.

They are not there- have never been able to find them since the switch- At first I thought they had stopped those postings but for some reason I am unable to find that title- Ohhh the fabrics I might be missing!!

You must be logged onto the board to be able to see the Items for Sale or Trade. Check in the upper right hand corner to see if you are or not.

Mostly love it all. Only disappointed 1 time. I assumed all fabric was quilters cotton. What I received was definately NOT. It was eventually tossed out with other yard sale fodder that did not sell. Now...I only buy if the seller posts "LQS quality" fabrics.

I've bought a lot of fabric from sellers on the board and my experience has been terrific. I only had one experience where someone gave away the fabric to someone else because I didn't answer a question fast enough. I answered in less than 24 hours and it happened to be a day that I had to work late. I did think she could have given me a bit more time to answer.
