Just looked up the shop. Oh, mercy. Liberty is almost to the Ohio line and I live 50 miles from the Illinois line. Basically, not on my way to anywhere, but might be an interesting day trip some day.

I always buy by the bolt at Joanns with 40% to 50% off I'll buy white, cream, black and indigo blue, also white an cream tone on tones,
as I use these most for back grounds.

I know that Fabric Depot in Portland gives 40% off (no coupon necessary) whenever you buy a full bolt. I don't know whether they do this from the online store, but it's worth asking about. Their prices are already good, so 40% off is a lot.

I by bolts of good quality white and unbleached muslin from my local JoAnn's when I have a 50 % or 60% coupon. I know what I like to use frequently and that is what I get. My next purchase will be a bolt of the wider muslin so I do not have to piece the backing as frequently. It is a leap to lay out that much money, but what a pleasure it is to go to my stash and have what I need on hand and not need to zip off for those basics. A second benefit is that my scraps all match, rather than having a pile of white scraps that are all just slightly different when I want to use them for a secondary project.

I've bought bolts from Marshall Dry Goods and always been satisfied.

50 miles is close! My friends and I drive that far for lunch all the time. I wish I had a nice fabric store that close to me. Marhsall's is about 2 hours away and I go there when I need just a few yards. LOL.

I grab them with coupons. There are some that I use over and over. Great to have handy for backings too

Sorry, I'm 50 miles from the Illinois line. The Liberty fabric story is close to the OHIO line. Way more than 50 miles, at least a 100 and probably more. And not on any main roads for me.

I do 50 miles easily-----------drove 45 miles to learn to spin last Saturday.
