I have bought quite a few off Ebay, and some at estate auctions, sales, etc.
A quilt is a quilt..... To me, it doesn't matter where it came from! :-) |
I sell quilts, so obviously I think it's a great idea for others to buy them! Of course, I would never sell them so cheaply! You got a real bargain.

If I saw one I fell in love with I would buy it. Quilting is my therapy, but I can love any quilt.

Not cheating - just supporting other quilters. I paint in acrylics but have purchased watercolour paintings that I just loved.

i would never avoid buying a quilt! every year i try to make it to at least one quilt festival ( usually an amish festival in ohio) and buy at least one new quilt...it does not matter who made the quilt, it only matters that you love the quilt :D

I know how you feel. I used to have one on a bed and everyone assumed I made it. It had fabric I would have never picked or put together but it was a gorgeous quilt and worked in that room. I have a trapunto one as a throw now and love it but I'm not sure I could or would make one. I see lots of ready make quilts I'd love to own. Enjoy your new quilt.

I bought my first quilt in Gatlinburg Tn too. Then I started to make them. As it has been said, it only matters that you love and appreciate what goes into them.

I buy and sell on eBay. Two years ago I was looking at quilts that were listed. One was from someone's mother who had passed away and they were selling her estate.
It is hand pieced, hand quilted. It is gorgeous! It is the covering for the bed in one of my spare rooms. |
