I am thinking about an Atkinson pattern called Fire Escape. It is large rectangles with small squares added for interest. It is a good masculine pattern. Nice fabrics!

This would be a really great pattern to use.

The pattern is free on Quiltmaker website under free patterns. The layout they have are crib size 38.5" x 49.5". the other size is 82.5" x 93.5" The block size appears to be 5.5" finished so you can make any size you want. Check it out. You can save it to your computer or print it out. Good Luck !!

I think the light colors are very nice.. BUT my son has a camo bed set and when he looked at this he said the all darker fabrics would be more camo. Then he told me "its camo its not a beauty contest". You do what you like - I just thought his comment was funny so I wanted to share

That is funny. I am skeptical about using light colors, so I will take his comment into consideration. Thanks for sharing!!

Thank you so much. I'm not sure what I would do without the quilting board!

Bento box is a good pattern for a man and especially in those colours...I have made three and they all turned out well... I think the lights are too light...

I will agree with toverly, although I like the addition of the lights he may want it to be true to camouflage so I would keep with the fall colors, hunters must wear orange so it would be in the range.

I would do a dissappearig 9 patch.

You could do a Times three pattern. It's easy but puts a spin on basic blocks. http://www.ericas.com/quilting/patterns/A19226b.jpg
