This is a quilt that my daughter saw online somewhere and fell in love with it. I want to make her one, but she can't remember where she found the picture or anything.

I can handle the color put-together, but I need to know the name of the pattern. Does anyone recognize it?

Thanks!!

Would it help to be recognizeable if you know that the block is set on point?
I know that block, and I can't call the name!
oh, joy ... one more thing to obsess over! LOL

it is four little blocks, joined straight together then turned on point ...
clues, clues, clues, everywhere a clue ... not that I can figure out what they mean! ... but it looks like the little blocks are half square triangle (biggest part of color) then the other half of the block is - - elenor burns did this in a basket of some kind ... will go look in a minute ... anyway, the other half of the little square are a bunch of little half square triangles, joined together
What would happen if you made a block of half square triangles, then cut a square as big as the 1/2 square triangle block.
draw a line down the middle of the straight color block, sew 1/4 inch on either side of the drawn line .... viola? two of the little blocks that go together to make half of the big square ... and I don't know the name, but is that how it is made, do you think?

It looks like this one, but with fewer pieces ...

http://quilting.about.com/od/anniver...pler_three.htm

If you stand on your head and close one eye <g> seriously .... the part that has the sawtooth around it is the solid half in your quilt.
The part that has all those HST, in your quilt is actually only one HST, with a Half square on the bottom part ... I wish I could draw better ... I will just keep looking for a few minutes ...

I flat out found it!

http://www.scrapquilts.com/basket.html through step three ... there is no pedestal on the block in your picture ...

and, I am thinking that if you look really closely at the contrast areas, there may be a secondary block or two ... I can see an hour glass block created by the bases of the basket being sewn together ... or it may just completely be this basket ...
and,! You helped me find a new scrap site! Good job! <g>

last try ...
I am looking at a bear paw or the variation on Quilters' Cache ... and, thinking ... minus the sashing, this is much closer ... I will put in that addy and let you go ... or someone with more expertise lead you right to it <g>

I wish I were a better researcher ...
