I hope I can make this work for everyone. I am going to try attaching a PDF file for the pattern.

I right clicked on the image in one of the first postings and clicked on search google images. It took me to several options, all are Magic Tiles by Kathleen Bissett. There are some for sale if you need the actual pattern.

When the first cut was made through all fabrics the top fabric from just one section was put to the bottom of the pile and (I can't remember if the bottom one was brought to the top) then the second cut was made and removed to the bottom. Whenever the squares were all cut it meant that you didn't have any of the same fabrics repeated in the squares. This is hard to explain and I hope someone will know what I mean. The teacher who did this pattern has moved to another country so I cannot get in touch with her. Something tells me the name was Magic something but I cannot find it anywhere. Thank you in anticipation.

Fons and Porter had the very pattern you are talking about this season . Might have been Nancy Zeeman. But it was fairly recently. You might check their web sites.

Sounds like the "Stack and Whack" variety of quilting to me!
