A friend of ours was cleaning our his attic and found these in a tote and was wondering if I could find out how old they were or close? The second picture is the backing on the first quilt. It is tied and the others have white backing and are hand quilted and the binding is hand stitched on. Any help would be appreciated?

What a find !!! They are in such good condition by the looks of it... strange place for beautiful quilts to be stored.

Oh someone forgot their quilts! so sad but they are so nice. what a find!! i'm going for maybe the 60's.

Like nativetexan it screams 1960 maybe early 70's to me especially the tied one and the bow ties which look to have some fabric from men's shirts.

The are really great quilts and look to be in great condition way a treasure your friend found...because of things like this I now always label my quilt with at least my name and the date. Even my picnic and ugly quilts I'm hoping they will out live me.

Yes, the colors are too bright to be very old. HTH

I agree with everyone with the possible exception of the squares on point with the pink alternating. It may be 30s. A closer look at some of the indigo and black/white fabric look like they could possibly be older and then set with the pink which could be 30's or newer.

What a great find though, would be happy to have any of them.

I believe that bubblegum pink was popular in the 1930's.

What a great find! And to have them be in such good condition.

I stitched with some of those very fabrics in the 1960s and 1970s. In those days we made darling pinafores and aprons for the little girl children, and rompers for the little men.
