So sorry! I only love the Singer featherweights. Love my Kenmore, Brother and Janome. The new Singers are just not the workhorses the name use to represent.
|
So sorry for all your trouble. It must be so frustrating. I hope you can get them to fix this problem for you soon! I am a believer that the newer expensive machines are never as good as the old well made types. Good Luck!!!!!

You guys are so funny! Thanks for making me laugh. So guess what? I tried the stupid machine again after about a half-hour and now it's working again. But I'm not rescinding my note to Singer... I want them to know this happened, because I'm sure it's going to happen again. It's very, very strange to me that the machine would just stop dead like that.
For those who mentioned it, I am already dealing with Singer "corporate" office in Tennessee, and have been all along. There isn't a Singer dealer or warranty repair facility anywhere near me (the closest warranty center is in Maine). That's why I have to deal with TN. I never considered using the machine as a trade-in, so thanks for that suggestion. I know we have Janome and Bernina dealers around, but I wonder if they would even take the Singer as a trade. Anyway, thanks for listening to my frustrations, and I appreciate all the sugestions you offered. I'll be sure to come back and update once I hear from Singer!! |
I feel for you, must be very frustrating, especially for the cost. Lesson learned about singer, too bad its an expensive one, but at least you know

I have a love/hate relationship with my Viking SE, lots of little problems, it is behaving at the moment (perhaps it heard me say it will get the boot because I love my old Singers(FW's and a 99K 1958 model)as they don't misbehave!!!
