If there is a 301 for $25 I would like it. J J

You can most likely sell them for parts if nothing else and also for metal. Don't take to the dump. my oh my
|
don't dump them, many of us would buy them, I have a friend that fixes them and then TEACHES a woman to sew and this has been successful, Several of the women are now self supporting with their sewing

In my area there is a sewing machine repair man that takes old machines and reconditions/repairs them to give to or sell at a very low price to beginners. The ones to far gone he uses for parts. Maybe someone in your area does something similar?

Those are very nice machines. You should have no problem selling them. I would take two if I was closer.

I have been charged with finding new homes for a collection of vintage machines and some tables that the mission group from our church has (they have upgraded to portables). I don't know anything about makes and models, but there were a couple of the older black singers in the collection. The rest look vintage '50's or 60's. We have tried the machines out and they all have varying problems, anything from worn belts, to ??? Should I just look to haul them and their tables to the dump? Or is there a market and I should put them on Craigs list?

To find out what they are worth, I would go to the singer website and put in the serial numbers, as for the others, i"m not sure of their worth, but I'm sure their worth something to someone, I just donated two of my old machines to the local Senior Center, they teach sewing and crafting to all ages, if nothing else you could contact someone there and ask them about it.
