Been there, solved it by making the four corners different but matching the other colors. Good Luck

Of course you counted right. The quilt gremlins have struck again!!
They sure get around. I can't begin to tell you the problems those little gremlins have caused me! If you have enough blocks to finish you are just lucky they didn't know. haha Ditter |
There's a trick you can do that will help. If you only need a small amount of fabric, scan the fabric into your computer and then print it out on the fabric sheets that are printer friendly. If you need a lot of fabric this isn't very cost effective but when you only need a little bit it can really be a lifesaver!!![/quote]
Thank you for this wonderful life saver ! I'd would've never thought of "printing" my own fabric. |
Do you have any little, furry sewing "helpers"? I've heard more than once on this board that sewers had their little "helpers" borrow a couple of pieces and stash them!!

I was making this Tennesse Waltz quilt and was 1/2 inch short of fabric for the last two snowball blocks( b/c i had cut the first block strip generous like Fons and Porter do and then trim the edge to get a clean cut) i spent hours searching the internet and calling LQS on the phone. I could find the other fabrics in that line, but not the right color. ( I had purchased the fabric months earlier). i finally pieced the center of the snowball block and continued. this quilt is disappointing because i had to piece tha backing too and piecing is off. Ive decided to keep it for myself as i love the fabric and the quilting. I would like to make another TW quilt to see if my piecing is better now.

OMG...What a gorgeous quilt! I'm still struggling with my log cabin, but I'm definitely going to put this one on my list of hopefuls.
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! |
