Have you tried The Quilters Cache? It has lots of blocks, by size,, name ,etc. You might find this block there. I really think it is the one in Blue Mountain Guild. Lots of nanes are given to the same block, but it has the exact number of star points, etc. The Quilters Cache has lots of other useful information too.

Does anyone else hate how quilt magazines give each quilt an individual name, yet even when the block pattern is clearly a traditional one, often don't say the name of the block pattern?

Yep!

NOW THAT Is gorgeous!!!! I love the fall colors!!!
|
I found a very similar block at http://www.azpatch.com/bom/bom2008/03mar08/bom08mar.htm They call it Spring Posies. If you flip the little green "leaf" triangle 180 degrees, I think it is like your tablerunner block.
Then you'll have the rotary cutting and foundation piecing templates to make your own variation and name it whatever you want! |
Itis very close to both the lone star and the arrowhead blocks. I have seen variations of both. Did you make this?
|
Whatever the true name is for the block, your table runner is beautiful.. I hope that I get that good a quilting someday.
