It could be Hope of Hartford

So many answers and we still aren't sure. I will pick up a copy of the Quiltmaker tom. Hope it is in there because I would like to make it.

The name of the pattern, as given in Quiltmaker, is Star Harvest. However that is not the name of the block, just the table runner pattern. The block name is still not certain. I couldn't find any contact info for Ellen Pahl, the pattern designer. The search continues.... ;)

Among other names, it's call the Hope (of)(for) Hartford star.

I just saw a block called "Sunflower" and it looks just like yours.
If you go to Blue Mountain Quilters Guild, you will see it. Hope this helps |
Indeed, the author of "Star Harvest" tablerunner in the Quiltmaker Magazine (July/Aug 2010) has listed that she used "Barbara Brackman's Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns - this block is a variation of the Double Windmill."
Quoted from the upper right corner of pg 63.

Rose,
thanks for the link to Blue Mountain, there are some really neat blocks there. I love the block in this table runner that this thread is about. I do not subscribe to the quilt book it is in and we have no place here in town that has books such as this. I think I'm going to subscribe to it just for this pattern if I can't find the book next week when I go out of town. |
