A friend of mine found this picture of a quilt. Do you know the pattern?

It looks like a Faux Cathedral Window.

It reminds me of a pattern called orange peel. Many different pictures on the internet to look at and see if you think it is the pattern there are a lot of variations of the orange peel pattern out there. Good luck :)

It looks to me like it's that mock cathedral window pattern, made by sewing two circles of fabric together right sides together, then turning right sides out through a slit in the white fabric which is located towards the side and then covered up when the circles are sewn together forming 4 half circle "flaps". In this case the colored circle used initially is pieced of four quarter square triangles. Very pretty and interesting. I've never seen it done with that circle pieced like that.

I agree with this. Also love the 4 patch circle!

Did you notice that it's two-sided?

Check out Nancy Zieman's website. I think she and a guest made one if I remember correctly.

No idea of name. Join 4 patch and cut into circle join on batting and plain sew all around right sides facing . Turn trough to right side and press well with seam on edge. Now small slit in white which will be under the turn down making faux cathedral window . One down more to do. Ends up double sided and finished in one go.
Have fun.

The front with the white is called Robbing Peter to pay Paul, but the way this looks ....there is a template that one uses to get this flipped edges circle look....I do have the template and did a table runner with it....yes, Nancy's Notion probably has it......BTW. It is fun to do!
