I really think it is a bed runner for the foot of the bed. They are so decorative and some so beautiful. They add nice color and interest.

Sounds like a Bolster, to cover pillows.

Bolster cover. You put a long round pillow in it, tie with ribbons and put on bed....can be used under neck, but usually was for decoration.

I am teasing a little, but I am going to really do it!
I would put a roll of batting in it, tie the ends, and put it on my spare bed, or my own bed as a way to make a cumbersome roll of batting invisible until I needed it!!! I hope y'all laughed with me! Jeannie |
