I have finished half of my star. Some quilter are saying they are having trouble getting their star to lay flat. I think if you clip the fabric to the stitching on the corner where the 2 pieces ( unit 1 & 2) go together this should fix that problem.

Hi! Could you tell me what a candlequilter star is? I was looking for your fabulous avatar quilt and wondered if it is made up of these stars. Would love to see a bigger photo, but could't find it in your started threads.

Thanks Krista for the link - Great tutorial! How neat - I thought Sherryl got her name from the star and now I see the block got its name from her!

I wish I'd had the opportunity to get that block pattern from Candlequilter back when she was sharing it. I don't know what happened to her, but I sure do love that block! :(
