Candy Crush!

I'm hooked on candy crush, but I keep thinking..... that would make a really cute quilt! Just throwing out ideas! As if we don't have enough already! LOL!

StephT 09-18-2013 06:38 PM

hehehe ya..that would be fun. My children REALLY would think I am hooked too

nabobw 09-19-2013 05:17 AM

I am afraid to say I am hooked

quiltin-nannie 09-19-2013 05:57 AM

I hate Candy Crush....I am addicted to it! LOL!! I get so frustrated with it and wonder why I play it! My time could be better spent sewing all these UFO's I have!

Murphy1 09-19-2013 06:30 AM

I play Words with Friends and Scramble. I don't need anymore addictions as I would never get any quilting done.

toverly 09-19-2013 09:59 AM

Guilty as charged! Hooked in it.

Tartan 09-19-2013 11:27 AM

Hooked also but the darn game keeps stealing my lives! I need all the lives I can get as I am stuck right now. Oh well, more time for my other addiction, QB.:D

pyffer3 09-19-2013 11:30 AM

That sounds like a perfect quilt. I would be making one for everyone I know! I am hooked on candy crush and words with friends. I kinda play my games at work (don't tell) and quilt when I get home in the evenings! Everything has a purpose...a de-stresser! Someone come up with a pattern and do share!

gale 09-19-2013 12:29 PM

I am already playing too often-not sure I want to be reminded even when I'm quilting. lol. I have been stuck on level 275 for a while now and don't think I'll ever get through it (I say that about a lot of levels).

humbird 09-19-2013 01:04 PM

275?? WOW. I've been stuck on 65 for days now. Not sure I'll even keep trying!

mayme 09-19-2013 01:39 PM

I play it way to much. I've even deleted it a coupe of times! I was on 79 for 4 months. Now on a hundred. Good thing they only give you a few lives or I would be playing all the time. Speaking of time,it's time to head to the sewing room.

QuiltingNtheRain 09-19-2013 01:40 PM

Humbird, I too am stuck on 65, but its been over a month now for me. Grr! But back on topic... I think Candy Crush would make a very cute quilt.

Geri B 09-19-2013 02:52 PM

I was introduced to that wacky game by my daughter.....first drive me crazy because I could not understand the logic of it...then I realized...no logic, just chance. Just like a slot machine and being computerized. It is programmed to do its own thing...seems if by chance you hit the right combo of hits it will"let you win" ha,ha, if not you are there forever....needless to say I am off the addiction...I like games, but not ones that I cannot beat with strategy...I like scrabble, word whomp, mahjong, and of course the old fashioned solitaire!!!

Dyan 09-19-2013 04:06 PM

275 that is great, I am on level 140 and I am also addicted, I have played with no help, my friend keeps trying to get me on facebook so she can give me lives or moves....

Buckeye Rose 09-19-2013 05:02 PM

Guilty as charged.....I am an addict as well.....level 325 (for a few days now)....have also shared my disease with dear hubby, nephew and wife, and daughter (who is much better than I and on level 367).....I would love to make a candy crush quilt...will have to give it some thought but don't think it should be that hard.

If you are playing on your cell, just go into settings and change your date. It will cause the game to give you more lives. Just remember to go back in later and fix your date setting! It is a great cheat I learned from my sister

65 is the worst level of all. Its pure luck. Concentrate on getting rid of the chocolates then get as many striped and wrapped candies as you can. Save them up snd then let yhem go all at once toward the end of your moves. Good luck!

kyquiltlover1942 09-20-2013 02:45 AM

I thought I was bad for being stuck on lervel 70 for over a week now.

cherrio 09-20-2013 04:47 AM

I'm with you on this! My daughter and my sister in laws play the candy crush. I tried it once and now I just send them lives or whatever when I get a request on good ole facebook. I was addicted to Farmtown on facebook for a year. Had to delete the game in order to have time to sew! lol

psquared52 09-20-2013 05:24 AM

I refuse to play it even once because it feels like a time sucker. I don't need anything else on my plate! Wish people would stop asking me to send them stuff!

KathyKat 09-20-2013 06:25 AM

Guilty. I'm just glad I only get 5 lives at a time so that I get back to my sewing room! I see quilts in those games also.

tessagin 09-20-2013 06:41 AM

I have friends hooked on the different games and I just think I spend so much time on the QB and a lot on FB, I don't dare try any of the games because of an addiction beginning. Like right now I should be working on a quilt or sending out comps! So gonna get off the QB for right now! MMMMMMMMMAYBE!

NOOOOOO! That is lethal! I heard of this cheat and I have spent SOOOOO much time playing! Changing the time can cause problems with email if you forget to change it back! My name is Joanne and I'm a Candyholic!

sweetlummi 09-20-2013 08:44 AM

ya it may be a good quilt, Not really in that game I have looked at it and do not see why so many love it. But still a quilt ya be good you have to come up with it.

fabric lover 09-20-2013 08:46 AM

ROFL. May be we could start our own candy crush support group on FB and send extra lives to each other :-)))

Have thought about it, I'm not really into the artsy quilts tho, but the body of the quilt would just be squares with candies on them, then the borders could be like those candy necklace curtains! Wouldn't that look awesome?! I bet it would be a big hit!

MarleneC 09-20-2013 09:07 AM

I too like Words with Friends & Scrabble. When I tried Candy Crush and a couple other games I got frustrated with trying to add points or whatever so as to keep playing.

texpat45 09-20-2013 09:12 AM

Oh, yeah, me too! On TWO devices. Am I hooked or what?! Both my daughters are hooked, too. And I'm a Words with Friends addict. Then there's my Kindle addiction...got that app on my IPad, IPhone and laptop as well reading REAL books! Oh, yeah, then there's my fabric purchasing addiction. The Diet Pepsi addiction and, uh, chocolate, Mexican food. I used to have a sewing addiction...I wonder what happened to my sewing machines?? Oh, yeah, pawned them to buy more Candy Crush lives...

GrannieAnnie 09-20-2013 09:24 AM

LOL, first thing I thought was that I had stumbled onto Facebook.

crafty pat 09-20-2013 11:24 AM

I am stuck on 70 about to pull my hair out so frustrating. I only play it for a short while a day to send all my kids and grand kids extra moves and lives that never show up when they send them to me. My kids got me started but I don't like to spend very much time on it.

Level 65 did it for me and I deleted the app. Words with friends is nice because you can play at your own pace and no one seems to mind if it takes a day or so to make a play.

Humbird....your hexie avatar looks beautiful!
