Congrats on your Pfaff 3.0. You got a good price. And yes, the 2.0 and 3.0 are being discontinued. The new versions have a smaller opening??? Not too sure what Pfaff is thinking making the opening smaller ??????????? You will love your new machine !!!!! I'm in the process of picking a new machine. I can't decide on the Pfaff 4.0 or the Janome top of the line. The Pfaff 4.0 definately has some beautiful quilting features. But I don't just quilt, I do fashion and also do some sewing of upholstery fabrics. I'm in such a quandry???? Actually as far as being heavy duty goes, they are both the same, it's just that the Janome looks like it would handle the heavier fabrics.
