I love the green. But the entire project is awesome.
Red first and then green second. The brown seems to not show up at all. Beautiful cross, by the way.
I like the red too!
I like both the green and brown. Can you do a tutorial for the block?
I too like the red!
I like the Red
I think the green brings out the cross.
I love the green... very tranquil.
Burgundy for me................
I vote for the green~~ :)
I really like the red. Green is second.
Your cross is beautifully done! I can't decide on color, they are all very nice. I am sure what ever you decide will look lovely!
Love the burgundy and would really like to see a burgundy square where the cross pieces meet on the cross. Green would be my second choice and I don't care for the brown at all.
Your mini cross is beautiful, you did a great job on it. Any of the 3 fabrics would work, and my first choice would have been the read, however, in looking at the fabrics again, I think I'd go with the green. Nice job.
Thank you all for your help! I counted the votes, and green has a small majority before red. That's exactly what I felt, looking at it again today. So I will go with green!

I vote for the red. The green blends in with the cross too much and the brown doesn't add much in my opinion. Lovely job and whatever you choose will be lovely.
Definitely red first, green second. "For god so loved the world" would be beautiful embroidered in gold cursive on the cross.
I vote for the red, makes the cross stand out more than the other colors.
I like the red.
I like the burgundy or the green choices.
So to add to your confussion I will add my 2 cents. The brown is from the cross and looks very nice in a low key kind of way, I rulled out the burgundy since it does not coordinate with anything, and the green is perfect it makes your block pop and it represents growth and reading your bible everyday is spiritual growth. I love it.
Looking at the pictures, the cross stood out most to me on the green.
1st choice - burgundy, 2nd - green. Really like the cross.
mine also would be brown but I love green
I like the green for my first choice and the red for my second. Can't wait to see the finished one and see what you chose!
I agree - I think I like the brown best.

So will you count up the votes and go with the winner? All are nice, but my vote is for the green! It just flows better with the block.
I would choose either the green or brown, and favour the green over the brown just a bit.
Green. It makes the cross "pop"
I tried to make a quilted Bible cover. After struggling to get that silly zipper in correctly for 2 days; I decided that I would save my sanity and just go buy one.

I like the green.
I realize you have already decided on the green which I do like, but I am a sucker for meaning and symbolism so my vote was for the red for the symbolism of Christ's blood shed so freely for us. Your LC cross is very nice. I look forward to seeing the picture when it is done.
Green!!!!!
I really like it, what a great idea............did you draw up the pattern yourself? And yes, the green for growth for sure............remember the wordless book from SS? calla

http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/quilt...T_ATTR=PATTERN I made it a little smaller because this would be a wallhanging. I just drew up 4 little log cabins for paper piecing. For the cover, I have no pattern, I just sew a zipper on and bind it. |
