Can't decide on colour...
3 Attachment(s)
I'm working on a zipper bible cover and made a tiny log-cabin cross for the front (3.5 x 5''). However, I can't decide on what colour to use for the main fabric that will cover the bible. These are 3 ideas I have material in my stash for (incl. zipper and bias tape):

mine would be the brown.. i like to see the bible cover when you finished..:)
I like the burgundy.
I like the red very much. (My bible has a dark red leather cover, so it strikes me as kind of traditional.)
Brown looks more manly, while the green is neutral. I can't see using the cross you made with the red, so my vote is for the green.
sorry I can not decide either, even after reading all the votes so far...i would say use what you prefer...after you look at it for a day or so you will know ;)

Green. Green signifies "New Life". Red is my favorite color but Green is my favorite dolor to live with because it feels fresh and new

I like the red. It brings out the cross. The colors together remind me of Christmas, The Birth. The red reminds me of The Blood. The brown and green seem to wash out the colors in the cross. IMHO
love your little cross, i'd like it in red.
I vote for red first, green second. Your cross is beautiful.
I vote for either the green or the brown.
Thanks for your help so far! I think brown is "out" - I'm still undecided between red and green... Maybe I should sleep over it and decide tomorrow?
I like the green, next choice would be brown.
Your cross is beautiful!
I think I like the green the best. |
The green is very classic looking and would be gender neutral. because there is no red in your cross I wouldn't use it unless it was the only fabric I had.
I vote for green.
I like the green, but the brown is good. Obviously whatever you do, someone will love it!
I like the red!
Green is best--my favorite color, my eyes always go to the greens.
I love the red (and it's very apropos with a cross), but the green is a really close second.
I am partial to the green. I love your cross. It will be beautiful no matter what color you choose!
red first, then the green. By the way, it looks very nice.
I vote for red. It makes your design pop.
I like the red!!
I like the brown.
Burgundy looks cheerful and uplifting. Next would be green with brown last.
I like the green first, then the brown.
I like the brown.

definitely RED
I like the brown. Which one do you keep going back to when you look at them? That's the one to choose.
All three are lovely, as is your cross! The red is my favorite.
The red really sets the block off and the green compliments it. I've narrowed it down to 2 for you. haha
Lovely work! I love the green, it's peaceful and calming yet colorful enough to make it all work.
Red is my vote, I agree with others who like Red above... Nice Work and A Great Project...
Well shoot. I first went to the green. Looked again then kept going back to the other colors. They are all lovely. Whatever you use will be super. Can you do one in each color? The cross is beautiful. Be sure to show us when you are finished. Did you have a pattern for the cover? I would love to do one for a special friend. BrendaK

I vote for green.
Red or Green...the brown makes it kinda dull if you ask me. Red or green just makes the actual cross stand out more.
