"Hankie Pankie" is a relatively easy quilt to make and is versatile with bright colors or pastels. The hard part is deciding which fabrics to choose since there are so many wonderful choices. "Pinwheels" is another one that is relatively easy. You could alternate the pinwheels with themed fabrics or embroidery. Good luck and congratulations! Grandkids are great!!

Congrats!!! You're probably itching to get started on a baby quilt and don't know your daughter's room theme or if you all are having a girl or a boy. I would find a pattern I liked and use pastel blender type fabrics in all colors. Or bright primary colors in a "toys or baby blocks" print fabric that all kids like. Back it in in Minkie - it's sooo soft.

Enjoy :-P
