Is she going to find out what sex the baby will be? I think there are quilts more suited to one or the other. Not long ago I finished
one with sailboats on it. It was for a little boy. I found it on the Internet, and it was pretty simple to do. |
Congrats!

Congratulations on your great news! Your secret is safe with me. I made quilts using patterns from Gingham Goose when each of our grandchildren were born. These quilts are appliqued. http://www.ginghamgoosepatterns.com/

Congratulations. How about a pinwheel quilt or a nice bright posy with faces?

What a blessing you are receiving. Why not make two quilts; One with a Pooh design (or whatever she changes her mind to) and a 'Special" quilt just for baby from Grandma that would tell baby about your love etc. You could make the "Special" one smaller for baby to tote around or to Keep for memories as she/he grows. Just a suggestion. Remember "Every time a Child is Born so is a Grandmother".
God Bless |
How exciting. Warm wishes is the quilt pattern I like.

Last year at Christmas, we already knew my DIL was pregnant (they'd been trying/hoping for almost 3 yrs.), but they waited until Christmas to tell us that they were expecting twins. The twins (boys) were born on my b'day this past July. We spent Christmas evening with them this year. They live on 30 miles away, so I've been able to see the boys often and have been needed to help with them. They are such a joy. They are fraternal twins and look totally different--and their little personalities are different, too. I think this makes them even more fun.

Congrats!!!!!!!
