(((Hugs to you))) I hope that you recover soon. What a scary ordeal!
If it's any consolation, you've prompted me to look into getting a guard. If there are any good reccomendations of "guard products" out there, now's the time to post. ~ Cindy |
I buy a lot of band aids! I prefer the Hello Kitty ones right now...got tired of those brown ones! Lol

Ouch! Just recently bought a glove to wear when cutting - after reading horrow stories on this board. Having to retrain myself to always put it on.
|
Good thing it wasn't more serious! Thanks for the warning!

Thank you all for your good wishes, and good suggestions! And Edie, thank you for the great quotes!
I am definitely getting the Klutz glove before i do anymore cutting. Thank you all again - this board is always so encouraging! |
OUCH!!! I totally understand. I did that 2 months ago!!! hugs for fast healing.

Ouch, that had to hurt. Fortunately, I've only taken little slices out of my fingertips, although I did have an altercation with my wand blender - never keep your finger on the on button when sticking your fingers where they don't belong. I think we've all been there to some degree or another. Hope your finger is doing better.

Do get better quickly. I have been wearing a Fons and Porter glove on my left hand to avoid accidents. They are not steel mesh or anything, but are supposed to offer some protection. I -- thankfully -- have not had an accident since I started wearing it and so don't know how well it works. Perhaps you can try one when you are back to cutting.

Hi...hope you are doing better. I cut myself once but no way near that bad. I did learn my lesson...thanks for reminding me.

When I was teaching classes several years ago, the store rule to our students was.....if you leave the rotary cutter open and walk away, you have to pay a 25 cent fine to the kitty. Don't know if it helped but it did keep our students more aware to close the cover when they walked away from the mat.
