I have used the "Simple Soultion" for over 30 years now, they now have an Extreme one that works even better.

Vinegar is the only thing that will get out peeeeeeeeeeeeeee, than take a black light and turn it on after the carpet is dry with the lights out to see if you got it all. It makes pee glow believe it or not. I shampoo first, than rinse with vinegar, getting the carpet real wet, turn the over head fan on to dry. They also have a spray to scram animals, I don't know if that works. Also, your cat may have a UTI and needs a vet to give meds. Good luck,

I have used Nature's Miracle with a dog. If you soak it well and blot immediately, it leaves no smell nor spot. I don't know about cats though.

Thanks in advance for your help. By the way, if you can measure and cut strips for quilting (LOL), you'll find measuring and cutting laminate is a breeze. I'm almost finished putting laminate in the fifth room in my house. |
I know this won't help your current problem but when we moved into our present house and had carpet put down, we paid extra to get a Pet Pad to go under the carpet. So, any pet mistakes do not penetrate the pad or subfloor underneath only the carpet.
Believe me, I have lots of sympathy for you in your situation and wish I had a great remedy. We had a cat who lived to be very old and had problems her whole life. I tried everything with limited success. That was years ago and I hope there is something more effective on the market now. Good Luck! |
I use Pawls urine odor remover for my dogs accidents and it really works. I got mine at walmart. It has enzymes etc.

Try RESOLVE (wal-mart)for pets. Or call a carpet cleaning company and ask them. They helped me once. You must keep her litter box clean as when it gets too dirty she will quit using it. It will be pretty hard breaking her once she starts.
