I used the tute from Eddie but jumped in with both feet and made a king size. I have no desire to even do a pillow now. LOL

I started one about 25 years ago. For all those years I have had a pillowcase size piece completed. When my office moved to a new building last year I cut a piece and put it in a frame and hung it. I have had so many complements on it. Finally, as far as I am concerned, it is FINISHED!

This one is done all by machine -- found it in a cupboard just the other day and finished it. They are fun to do -- you just need to be accurate in your folding and press well. |
My cathedral window quilt ended up pillow size. I keep saying someday maybe I will try again. I know there are some newer techniques than back when I made my pillow almost 25 years ago. At that time, a lady I was an acquaintance with had made 3 cathedral window quilts and was working on a 4th. After just making my pillow couldn't understand how she would want to make that many of them. She must have found it relaxing, where I didn't.

I've had Cathedral Window on my "to try" list for a long time. Seemed like a good pattern to make a small ring bearer's pillow (with scraps from the signature quilt). Well... I'm going to end up with a pretty (if you don't look too close) pin cushion and new respect and awe for those who complete a quilt in this pattern! I learned a lot and had (mostly) fun yesterday. Going to take a deep breath and start the pillow again.
I have made two CW quilts and loved the process but I don't think I'll make another one. Both took me about 3 years to complete because I was working. |
I am working on one now, it's about a lap size, hoping to end up with it a queen size for my bed. Doing the squares by machine and the turn backs at night while watching tv. Hang in there!

I'd like to attempt one some day. Did you send a picture and I missed it?

Thi is one I would love to make. I went so far to buy all the white fabric - it is a lot! - I cut a bunch of squares to start and even bought a few charm packs to use - and that is where is sits. Some day I will make the first one. But it will more than likely be after I finish hand quilting the Double Irish Chain.
