Mostly my cats just want to keep me company. But I do keep everything picked up, closed or put away!

Waverly (the yellow and white one) isn't with us anymore :( liked to be near me when I was sewing but not usually on what I was sewing or quilting. This is once when he decided he needed to provide ballast.

M'Gennis, my current companion, just likes to be on whatever I'm working on... mostly just in the way! I was cutting out pj pants for Christmas gifts, working with yards of flannel at a time, and yep... he needed to be in the middle of the pattern pieces I was trying to lay out.

I thought maybe if Wally couldn’t see I was sewing he would lose interest and go away. It didn’t faze him one little bit

Omg that's hilarious!!!!!!
I told you all I love cat posts!!! :D

There's a woman on Youtube who reviews those monthly subscription boxes and her cat is always trying to take center stage! I always enjoy watching her, I mean her cat :D

Cattitude ---- Thanks for my morning laugh. Some cats are just so mellow.

From day one with my new cat, this has been an issue. I’m grateful to see everyone’s response to this post. I haven’t had a consistent plan but now feel that I will establish a “no fly zone.” It is a just too dangerous to allow a curious kitty to roam around. Thanks for the help!

quilt2b- my husband put a screen door on my sewing room so I could keep my cat, Sonia, out. She has since passed but we have 3 others so it does come in handy. They can see me but I guess it depends on the cat too. My 3 don't bother with anything. They just lie on the floor if they can find a spot that is :)
I do like having a screen door for other reasons.

Mine wants to sit on my chest when I'm doing handwork or knitting and she is really hard headed about it. We will have the battle of wills. It's like she knows exactly what she's doing and she's not agreeable to compromise but it's ok. She's a rescue so she might really be clingy because of that. She is a big sweetie
