ya I have looked and I can't find it either, one of my friends want one but I have not evan heard of it.

I saw a post on another forum that had what she called a casket blanket that was put in the casket with the loved one. It was beautiful and very fitting as the deceased was a quilter. I think it is a great idea.

stefanib123, This is the one I remembered, but I searched casket instead of coffin. No wonder why I couldn't find it...

Ooooh and the the one who is covered by the quilt comes back to life. Hmmm, I see a story in the making. (no disrespect intended).

I would like to find a pattern for this quilt, alot on the book but no pattern :(

I marked a whole cloth quilt that a church group was going to use to cover the casket at funerals. The Vermont Quilt Festival displayed a wonderful Casket Quilt some years ago. It contained Masonic symbols in the patchwork. I believe Betty Boyink wrote a book some years ago dealing with comfort issues that contained some coffin quilts.
