I had that happen too. Evidently the new bolts are more and the machine reads the higher amount. They did fix it but I'm also wondering about the next guy!

I had that happen at Joanns also. They said the scanned price was the price increase. They did give it to me at the marked price!
|
Actually, it happens to me at Joann's a lot. I've had to argue for the marked price several times.

Yes. please watch your items being rung up. The computers are only as good as the people feeding it info and if the IT people aren't getting it done the cash register will be wrong. I had a lady get charged 99.99 for a small notion item. SHE PAID!! It wasn't until about 3 hours later that she thought to question it. Of course, we fixed it, but she had to make an extra trip.

If an item is posted a certain price that is what you pay no matter what the scanner or managers say. They can change the tag but still have to honor the posted price that you saw.
My hubby and I were shopping at Home Depot for a tree. Found a great one and the sgin on the tree read $14.99. Check out person said wrong, that is a $45.00 tree. Called the manager and he agreed that it was $45 but because the sign was the lesser amount that is what we paid. By the way, the manager sent someone out to check all the prices on every tree that very minute. |
I got charged for 3 battings at JoAnns the other night when I only bought 2. Caught it as he rang it up, though.

The last time I went to JoAnns I purchased 2 different colors of corduroy. All corduroy was 50% off. One color rang up at sale price and one at regular price. They made the adjustment. I am just glad I checked before I paid.

Good heads up for us ... I am very careless about checking the receipts ... usually, I am in a hurry to get out of the store ... Thanks.

Recently I saw peaches a for 50-cent a pound,at Wal=Mart. Watching scanner when being checked out the peaches rang up at $1.68 per pound. Whoa, let's do a price check. Produce manager said $1.68 was correct price. He answer was someone must have moved the price sign. Needless to say I was not happy, nor did I buy peaches. This was not the first time prices a checkout did not match posted prices. I wonder how many people paid $1.68 or item that was priced 50-cent per pound. |
I just try not to shop at WM if I don't have to. I try and pretend that they don't exist. I make a few more stops, but the other places are so much more customer friendly... and they staff better so you can check out more quickly.
