[QUOTE=PaperPrincess;7381302]I use the archive view, which lists all threads in descending order by start date of the thread. In other words, newest one first. If you use the regular view, it sorts by latest comment, so you could have a 2 year old thread that someone commented on at the top.

the board is so active that new threads can get buried."

This is what I do also. Then I check out Offers, For sale or trade, Pictures, In search of, Vintage & Antique Machine Enthusiasts, Tutorials, Main, and Organization when I have the time.

I scan for topics that interest me and then check the date of the original post. If it's recent, I read the post and may or may not comment.

the board is so active that new threads can get buried. I read all the threads in main and comment if I have something new to add. I usually look at all the pictures, and really should comment more.

Paper Princess is sitting in my chair! :D

I post when I want to say something! Maybe encouragement, or a helpful idea, or a link to something someone is looking for. Not everything that pops into one's head needs to be 'shared', tho. I'm still annoyed that a person or two has posted on the mystery quilt thread to let us all know how much they dislike mystery quilts, and why.

If I have something to say that I think could be valuable, then I respond. Other than that, I read a lot of posts.

My sewing area us also a MESS.......I read each entry and post as the 'spirit' moves me. Which is often as you see by my over 3000 posts.

Sorry, bad spelling in my first post

I could be on QB for hours and get nothing else done. So I try to set a time limit. So that means... prioritize
1. Threads I've been following
2. Main; things that look interesting to me
3. Swaps
4. Challenges
5. Pictures
By then the timer has surely gone off.

I usually read most posts in Main and Pictures, but only respond if I think I have some info to share or I just can't keep my mouth shut. :D I also look at General chit chat for items of interest and the two word games I am addicted to. I spend WAY too much time here!! Thanks for putting up with me.

I read each entry before I post. I read most threads, but not all of them, mainly from Main and Pictures. And, yes, I spend too much time in here...and I respond whenever it just feels right.
