Cloth books for baby

I am making some cloth books for a baby and am not sure what kind of batting to use. Would you recommend Thermore or something thicker? Or does it matter? thanks.

I think Thermore would be fine. It's soft, but easily washable. If the batting is too thick, the book gets unwieldy.

Another to consider would be regular flannelette.
Gives some bulk and loft, but not too much and has a nice feel to the finished quilted project.

Just make sure that you have it well-pre-shrunk before you start!!

Thanks. Thermore it is since I have some on hand.

I have used iron on interfacing- a little body and not too much bulk.

I am in the process of starting a cloth book, so found some good ideas here. Thanks.

I used white fleece in one (out of necessity), that worked fine too.

I just finished 2 and used a medium weight interfacing and really like them.

I like to use inexpensive felt inside cloth books because it holds shape, and supports the pages nicely.
