I have tried both and took both back. I get the magnifying mirror out. I can see it go in from the other side.

I love the one made by Bohin so much, ordered a second for my on the go hand applique bag so I'm not caught without it. The trick to the Bohin one is to make sure the thread "snaps" in the threading groove. Never could make the clover one work right.

I returned the Clover one, and bought a Bohin. Worth every penny!

i could never make the clover work, so i bought 2 Bohins... one for my sewing area and one to take with... i could not be without them!

Bought the bohin....eh, sometimes works...using to thread needle for EPP...if I use the #10 milliners...forget it...it will eventually thread it, but that little pin also frays the thread sometimes......and cannot at all use the side that states for thin needle......back to saliva and steady hand.......or maybe I'm doing something wrong!

I have the Clover one and it works great! I forget the needle sizes that work on it but it is written on the package. I put the needle in and gently push to be sure the eye of the needle is oriented correctly then lay the thread in the slot and thread it. I love the thing!

I must not be holding my mouth right - it has yet to thread a needle.

Look on YouTube. There are demos that show you had to use it. You don't have to put in the brand name.

I had to look, because the instructions that came with mine weren't clear.

I reread the instructions for mine. I was doing it wrong most of the time. Now it works great.

Strange! I found mine worked best with a bit of batting or something under it. But I, too, found it more of a pain than a pleasure! I've heard the Bohin is good and may try that when I need to.
