I have quite a few printed out, plus some I design myself just for fun...I have many, many more patterns than I will ever have time to make. I do like to just page through my binder or quilt books and imagine different ways to do different quilts or ways to use different fabrics.

Do you have an external hard drive? I keep all my designs on that. As I down load them I put them in folders so I know what I have. Have lots of embroidery designs. I like making tote bags and I make them special for friends and family. If you have any questions you can PM me. I have met a lot of other embroidery friends on here and we have got to be good friends. What type of embroidery machine do you have?

I have tons of free patterns . It only took me 4 years --so far-to collect them. Some areon my computer--some on an external drive and I have a file cabinet full of patterns-a big offfice file cabinet. I still keep finding more that I like and will probably save them also.I will never be able to do them all--but I will always have lots of choices when I want to start another project.

I liken it to recipe collecting too! I don't hesitate to download a pattern I like. I have a 1TB hard drive which I back up routinely. I have various sub folders such as Baby Quilts, Toddler Quilts, Lap Quilts, Samplers, Table Toppers, QOV, House Blocks,Wall Hangings, etc. I also "pin" a lot of patterns/pictures I come across to Pinterest so they don't take up any space on my hard drive.

Looking through photos and patterns is half the fun.

A friend of mine uses 3 ring binders for each category of free patterns. I loved her idea and intend to buy several 1 inch-3 ring binders... one category will be for table runners, craft projects. Another category for kids or crib size, another for twin size, another for wall hangings, etc.

"The 15 years of quilt magazines" -- I used to subscribe to about 10-14 quilt magazines a year and I entered them into a database on my computer. That way if someone was looking for a certain magazine, I could find it and share with them. Then it got out of hand, lol! Finally I gave several big boxes of quilt mags to the Guild to sell at our Quilt Show. The money went to the Guild. And I still have over a thousand quilt magazines for 'inspiration' -- AS IF I could ever find the particular magazine and pattern I'd be looking for, lol! But it is fun to look back through them on the long haul to and from TX to visit relatives!

I have thumb drives one that holds quilting patterns and the other holds embroidery designs, that way I can take them with me where ever I go. But like many there are more than I will ever get to. Oh well another thing for the daughter to inherit someday. I have tried to categorize them but it is a work in progress.

I also have hundreds of magazines that I am slowly working through to give away to new or other quilters through our group.

I have 2 large three-ring binders full of patterns I've printed off...and a head start on another one! We won't mention all the books I have, or the fabric, or UFOs, or....well, you get the idea. :)

Oh, a cousin also go me hooked on a website for free knitting patterns...for Lion Brand Yarns...Oh, my!

I have two large binders of free patterns. I do have some lovely books but I always bookmark or print off a free pattern if I really like it. My mum quilts and does not really have access to the internet but she knows she can browse through my books and free patterns folders
