I read or heard somewhere that the color catcher were pulled off the maket. Anybody know why?

I'm still buying them at the grocery store or Target.

They sell a lot of them in the UK, so you could always have a friend from there send you a package or two. :)

Not that I know of. Perhaps it was one brand of them. I am going to Walmart today and will check if they are still on the shelves.

They are no longer sold in Canada, but that's the only country I know of that stopped selling them.

There are several on the market, color catchers and dye magnets, by Shout and by Woolite and a few other companies. They are available here in PA in grocery stores, Target, Walmart, and some quilt shops and Joann stores.

Just so you know, not all Walmart stores carry them. I can get them in 1-2 local stores, but not the one closest to home. I always find them at Target though.

They were the subject of a tv commercial last night...no longer have to separate your colors use color catchers..wash your reds and whites together.

I e-mailed Shout after I found Color Catchers with a stain remover. I only want the regular ones. They told me that they are still on the market and very popular. I told her YES ESPECIALLY among quilters! I got a booklet of coupons..but only .25 off Color Catchers. Nothing else in the booklet I could use... I was just glad to know my fav notion is still going to be around!

My friend in Canada can't get them but I can find there in my local stores. I hope they don't discontinue them.

I just bought a box.

My WM had them on clearance and now does not have them. Now I have to buy the brand JA's sells. I don't think they work nearly as well as the Shout brand. I really miss the Shout color catchers.

I just received a free sample in the mail. I doubt they would send that out if they were going off the market.

I can still get them Kmart & Walmart. Hope they don't take them away--I really use them a lot.

NOPE I STILL BUY THEM AND OUR LOCAL WALMART STILL SELLS THEM I SEEN THEM 2 DAYS AGO.I BUY THE SHOUT ONES MAYBE IT IS ANOTHER BRAND THEY TOOK OFF.

A person in Canada said they were being discontinued, but so far I still see them here.

I live in Ontario and I found some on a clearance table as they were discontinuing and they hadn't been here long at all,so glad you can still find them in states.

"Shout" is still running commercials for theirs on tv.

Ooh, I want to FIND a box. JoAnn's quit carrying them here for some reason.Maybe they will get more in. I called just now and they didn't say it was because they pulled them off the market or anything...so I'm hoping they will still be available.

I wonder what the Canadian government knows that the rest do not or are ignoring? That is assuming it is the government that is blocking the sale. It makes no sense for a company to not sell something in Canada that is readily available in other countries unless it is prohibited from doing so.

I posted a few weeks ago that they are no longer available in Canada. Received lots of replies that they are still available in the US. Several board members offered to send me some. Got a notice yesterday that there is a package at the post office for me. I'm sure it's the Shout Color Catchers that gramie bj from this board said she would send. I'm a happy camper. The ladies & gents on this board are fabulous!!!!

I just picked up a box at our local Hannaford grocery store. I sure hope they don't discontinue this product. I did notice that the box I bought was the last one on the shelf.

Someone said they found them a Zellers early this week.

It's made by Shout and could be found in the detergent isle of your supermarket if they carry it.

It's a handy dandy sheet that goes into the tub with your laundry and absorbs any color that might bleed out of what's in the wash. Theoretically you can wash reds with whites without getting pink. I'm not ready to go that far,yet, but they have worked exceedingly well on the things I have used on. There are several brands. I use the Shout color catcher, available in the detergent aisle at stores that carry them. froggyintexas

I would be lost if they quit making them. I use them in regular laundry and my quilts.

Canada pulled them from the market, but, have not heard any other places. I see them on my stores shelves.

I have never purchased them, mainly because I wash in cold water and haven't had a problem.

They are still on the shelves at my Walmart, Target and grocery store. I use the Shout brand. If they discontinued them, there sure would be a lot of upset people raising a ruckus with them! :)

I will be stocking up just in case.My boss retired and I made him a red,white and blue quilt. I did not pre wash,so I gave him a couple to use, he said they worked great with the red and blue going to the color catcher, I am so glad I did , or my hard work would be ruined.

I live in Canada and is hard to find them but i bought last month 10 boxes at a Dollar store for 2.00 a box so stocked up and is the same ones that were sold in the grocery store here and Walmart here in my are dont carry them.

I just bought some last week - guess I will buy more this week just in case.
