Each of us is so different, that I can't say there is any combo I get tired of. And there are soooooooo many patterns to use, where colors work differently within the same pattern.

Turquoise & red or turquoise & orange. And the Halloween fabric lines all seem to have added purple and acid green to their repertoire, I suppose because they needed to add SOMETHING, and purple & green were complimentary. Pink and turquoise in Christmas lines. Can you tell I don't care much for turquoise?

Lime or acid green in combination with anything!

Lime green and pink. Also orange and brown

I know it is out of vogue, but still see it ...yellow and blue. It was popular with country style.

I don't like yellow for anything. I have small amounts of different shades for landscapes & applique (sometimes you do need yellow) but that's it. I'm not fond of greens that have a yellow base either. I still have scraps of country mauve & country blue...no matter how many string or crumb blocks I do those two colors never seem to get used up along with the country hearts. Don't like blue & brown either but, again, you just have to have those colors sometime! I love the "new" grays, aqua/turquoise, orange & red and a bit of that acid green (!shock!) to add a real punch! As someone else said...using the really busy patterned fabrics all together...usually in the same colors - yuk! Like she said you can't the quilt pattern for the busy-ness of the fabrics...gives me a headache.
