One way to check for value is to copy your fabric on the copier and see if they all look the same. You can also get a "ruby beholder" at JAF or buy a red plastic theme folder and a green one to look at your fabrics through.

The easiest way to detect value is to snap a picture of it, then look at it in grayscale. It clearly shows what will contrast. Also, if the solid you have is not cotton, you will regret it.

Everyone has their own color preference. The four colors will work with a simple quilt pattern. I don't believe every quilt must have contrast in either value or pattern motif size. If you like the colors you have chosen then go with them. They will make a soft soothing comfortable, restful quilt.

I think the butterfly print and the muted green are fine together, but the colors of the boxy fabric clash. The butterfly reads coral to me and the boxy one a bluer pink. Likewise the bluish green of the butterfly and the limier green in the boxes. I think the colors need to be from the same family. I'd look for a coral pink print to replace the boxy print.

I love your choice! It's soft and romantic, the prints have different scales to add interest and I think the pale pink blocks on the block fabric tie in perfectly with the pale pink amongst the butterfly wings to bring everything together. The darker pink on the block fabric also adds a bit of contrast.

Are there two shades of green in that pic? If so, too close in color......what pattern, design is the pillow going to be? That too will determine if these fabs are workable or not......they do play nicely together......

Definitely agree with Jeanne S in regard to color choices. Don't know what pattern you are using but it seems to me you could still use the fabrics you chose and love if somehow you incorporated a narrow dark sashing between them. You said "pillow" ....does that mean you are just making one (?) or are you actually making two? If so, they don't have to match.... just use colors that blend well with the first one.

I like those together, very much actually. My first rule in "matching" colors: if you like them together, go for it! My quilting friends tell me I have a knack for putting colors together that no one else would and making them work.

I agree with jeanne s I would add raspberry or a dk sage green to it other wise the rest of the colors are fine

IMHO- I'd change out the purple/olive print for something in pinks-darker ones. Perhaps a bit of leaf green too. But would stick to white backgrounds--not cream.
