It is one of upcoming 2010 colors; I guess I'm always cautious using really 'trendy' colors in any permanent design work because they're just that... trendy. You might just look back on it in a few years and say, YUCK, why did I think that was nice?!
However. It is wonderful that we're looking and caring!
More colors that are 'hot' this year are:
Red
Hot pinks
Mauves (think dusty roses and lavenders into purples as well)

Have fun using it- it's a great color, but my personal opinion is that it should be used in moderation...

I love the reds and mauves so at least I'm somewhat trendy. I also love teal. I remember about 10 years ago I was trying to make a quilt for my MIL & she loves teal. There wasn't ANY to be found anywhere! What did I do? I actually drove from Southern California up to Sisters, Oregon to the shop there, where they had all sorts of teal colors. I've never done anything so shamefully extravagent before or since, but my MILs quilt turned out beautiful and she simply adores it. I can't ask for more than that! And I have horded the teals that were left over and added to them over the years, so someday I will make me a quilt out of them.

Reminds me of oldest friend's mom who had WAY TOO MANY turquoise accessories in the 50s.

I do like turquoise and I like it with lavender after seeing them in a quilt together but I don't buy to trends. I just get what appeals to me or to the person I am making for.

I do the same...if certain colors appeal to me, I go with it.
