Coming to a city near you!

Hey everybody out there in "Quilting Board"land! Hope you all are enjoying this time of year! I have frequented this board for the past 3months, and am somewhat addicted. So, I thought I would try something on here. I am a flight attendant, and therefore, have the opportunity to visit several cities across the U.S. It gets really boring sitting around a hotel all day long, so I thought that some of the nice people on this board may have some suggestions on his/her favorite quilt shop? I would love to be able to start visiting more while working. I can't wait to see the responses I get! Thanks in advance! Kevin

Kevin, I'm about an hour south of Chicago. My favorite LQS is Top Shelf Quilts in Frankfort; very friendly & helpful. If you're making a road trip to the south boonies, try them, B & J quilts in Kankakee, Roberts in Joliet. A couple of others west of I55 along I80 are The Fabric Center in Morris, D's Quilt Shop in Peru & Quilters' Garden in Princeton.

Dallas/Fort Worth TX has too many to mention. Quilt Country in Lewisville is a favorite as is Happiness is Quilting in McKinney, Quilter's Dream in Colleyville and Cabbage Rose is Fort Worth. enjoy!

I have had good luck looking in the phone book yellow pages.

We live in a very small place (138 registered voters) about 1 to 1 1/2 hrs to any town and I always try to find a phone book; however phone books seem to be getiing a bit scarce anymore.

Good luck on your quilt store visits!
