I love the cute pin cushions that I see, but I personally don't like pin cushions, I prefer my pins in a bowl.

I use my magnetic pin holder to find pins that I've accidently dropped on the floor. I'm weird about getting magnets to close to my computerized machines. I probably have nothing to worry about - but I do.

I've always used a store bought red pin cushion. Last year I bought a magnetic one, and found it hard to use. Seems all the pins gathered together, and it was an effort to pick one up.

Melanie, sign up for one of the pincushion swaps on here..you will get a cute one that way...I love to make them and I collect the old fashioned ones that are heart shaped with the crocheted covers on them. I have several of those. Do you do hand sewing so you have a need to use one? crafty_linda_b

I don't do alot of hand sewing. Alas my RA affects my hands the most. I use a magnetic wand the most but drool over some of the cute pincushions on here!
