I have got some fabric from Connecting Threads and some of it is nice, seems to be pretty good quality, I made a recieving blanket for my great neice with their Sunny Day Flannel, and it was nice, but I really don't care for most of their fabric, colour or design, I liked it better when they had fabric from other manufacturers. Just my opinion.... but on the other hand their shipping and prices are great and I have ordered a lot of books from them.

Yooper32 05-26-2011 06:00 AM

Funny thing. I just got off their site. Actually went there before coming here today, which is unusual. And, yes, I ended up spending more money than I surely needed too, but got some fabric for two quilts on my bucket list, oh, and to be honest, I also picked out one of the sale books too. Imagine that??? I cut it short theough, I didn't check out the "tools" section.

vivoaks 05-26-2011 06:16 AM

Been there - done that! Just remember to stay within your budget, which should be very easy there. They have beautiful fabrics, and the prices are much less than regular quilt shop fabrics. Hope you remembered to check out the clearance area - some of those fabrics are less than $2.50 a yard!

newbee 05-26-2011 06:31 AM

I just placed and order from Connecting Threads' website last night! It's not fair sending me catalogs in the mail. LOL.

lyndajean 05-26-2011 06:42 AM

I'm waiting for my latest order....should be in by tomorrow! :) Love them!

lillybeck 05-26-2011 06:52 AM

LOL I have to just not go there.

PS haven't heard of Knit Picks.... will check it out.

I have not spent any $$ on quilt stuff this month. I delete when I get stuff on the "net" I need to use what I have! CT does not make it easy! So much temptation!

grandjan 05-26-2011 07:08 AM

Oh, but what a delight when it arrives!

nangars 05-26-2011 07:14 AM

I have ordered from them and they have nice stuff. There prices are good.

It is EZ to get into all of that. Create4less is another one, that I have picked up things from time to time, but this one sometimes you have to buy more than one of what ever it is go get a good deal. :)

pugmom 05-26-2011 07:19 AM

Is there medication for this addiction? I need a huge dose...

macygma 05-26-2011 07:41 AM

yep.

libber 05-26-2011 07:53 AM

I have been leary of CT because of not knowing the quality of their fabric plus they use in-house designers, not nationally known ones that the other manufacturers contract with. I'm hoping to hear of other quilters experiences. I admit to being a quality freak when it comes to fabrics. Libber

I know what you mean. It's way, way too easy! But a great place to shop.

Waiting on my CT order...it shipped Monday! Love their sales! This order is all fabric but I love their thread, too. Already have three of their thread collections and saw a couple more I want! I'm trying to stay off Keepsake's site...love that place, too!

Carmine 05-26-2011 11:27 AM

I havent ordered anything BUT am seriously considering it. I love the fabric designs. I'm afraid! :-D LOL

trolleystation 05-26-2011 12:11 PM

I agree. I am very careful about charging anything but, this month I am afraid to open my bill.

wraez 05-26-2011 12:38 PM

Oh I know!

Last week I had to order a specific batik fabric from CT for a group swap where we all have to use the same background fabric. So, I went and looked at the 'clearance' fabrics and bought half yards of a number of blues that I needed to add to my stash, some of the charms on sale, and even 3 of the fabric 'seconds' which were only $2.28yd.

So I spent more than $50, even tho I didn't have to cuz I had the free shipping code. The order came and now I am kicking myself for not buying full yards! The 'feel' and color of what I got was really great. I may have to go back and order the 'leaf stamp' fabric in 'seconds' in all of the color ways ... the blue and reddish one is wonderful.

First signs of addiction is avoiding daily activities such as sleep to feed the addiction. Careful you'll start sneaking out of bed early, making excuses as to why you didn't pick the kids up from school and so. GET HELP QUICK!

Sadly, it doesn't get any better. I budget in the amount I can spend. Not a lot to work with some months.

TacoMama 05-26-2011 04:14 PM

I love CT, too. I have ordered some kits, lots of thread, and fabric.

Homemother 05-26-2011 04:19 PM

Got a box from CT today..............yum!

;-)

djmormon 05-26-2011 06:16 PM

I also found connecting threads from this site.
The pictures are true to color.
When the fabric arrived, I was so impressed with the quality.

I bought 5 yards for a total with shipping $19.
They were on sale.
Thanks for the tip.

Don't forget the free shipping when your order $50 or more!

jnagy1206 05-26-2011 07:37 PM

I just received my thread order. The colors were YUMMY! I love their quality and the sales are good. I am so amazed what a difference good thread makes when piecing. Haven't tried their fabrics, but will do so soon especially with all the positive comments.

roxie623 05-26-2011 08:36 PM

Aren't they the BEST! I love their fabric.

linmid 05-27-2011 06:08 AM
