This is going to be bad. My quilting teachers were raving about connecting threads so i had to come check it out. I was fabric shopping last night while everyone was in bed. I got some cool stuff but it was way too easy...

alikat110 05-25-2011 04:11 PM

Ah oooh!!!!

SuziC 05-25-2011 04:12 PM

Been there and done that too

cjomomma 05-25-2011 04:12 PM

I try to stay away from them. When I get their emails I delete them quickly. LOL!!

CarrieAnne 05-25-2011 04:12 PM

I love their stuff!

MadQuilter 05-25-2011 04:49 PM

I feel that way about keepsakequilting. sigh!

DesiG 05-25-2011 04:56 PM

I have ordered many times from their sister site knit picks, and currently have an order sitting in my 'basket' now I need to go downstairs and find my card (the one DH does not see) to finish checking out :-)

Deb watkins 05-25-2011 05:02 PM

I ordered awhile ago after reading all the nice things about the company. Well, I am on my third order from them. I have received all good quality fabric, the colors are true and mimimal shrinkage when washed and dried. The sale prices were just too good to pass up. Shipping is very quick!

dakotamaid 05-25-2011 05:06 PM

I have a budget for my sewing and I almost always save it for this board and for connecting threads. If I go over I make sure it is on some night when it is just me up late!LOL

feffertim 05-25-2011 06:03 PM

I love them, their fabric is so pretty and the quality is wonderful. Great prices too, their sales are awesoeme

sherriequilts 05-25-2011 06:14 PM

I won't even look on those sites anymore and LQSs are out too. This being retired and limited income is not fun yet!

Jennifer22206 05-25-2011 06:16 PM

oh yea.. I love them. Love a good stock up sale. :D They are dangerous. I just keep adding fabric to my cart and before you know it, I could max out a CC. :D

jillnjo 05-25-2011 06:17 PM

Connecting Threads is definitly one of my very favorite places to purchase fabrics and books, ect. Very good quality and service.

I seriously just ordered 20 charm packs and a book from them two nights ago.....sigh....and that one fabric I couldn't pass up on the board....and that e-bay bid I won..... still haven't mentioned all that hubby lol maybe I'll make a cheesecake tomorrow....

farmer623 05-26-2011 03:11 AM

Yes, they are dangerous. I get caught up with the free shipping with $50 or more orders, and I keep adding just one more thing, and then just one more thing, and before I know it, I've spent a bundle.

Kayaker26 05-26-2011 03:30 AM

Me too! Ordered last night to reward myself for making the last 2 of my projects totally with stash...now how crazy is that.

blueangel 05-26-2011 03:33 AM

It is so easy to get carried away. Been there done that.

misscarol 05-26-2011 03:48 AM

Has anyone used their thread? I would like input if you have. Thanks.

MissJMac 05-26-2011 03:55 AM

Connecting Threads - I've never been disappointed. I recently used their 1/2 price sale to stock up on some batiks and blenders -

flowerjoy 05-26-2011 04:03 AM

Online shopping is great to do and I agree it is hard to control. LOL. It is not even like spending real money...just put in some numbers, click a button and there you go...beautiful fabric arrives in a few days. It is like magic.

quiltingnana1 05-26-2011 04:04 AM

I love CT!!! Yes, it can be dangerous.... But so much fun!

Blinkokr 05-26-2011 04:10 AM

My favorite, been buying from them for years. Never disappointed the fabric quality is great. And free shipping over $50.00 what could go wrong. haha
Have a Blessed day

I agree 100%! So I try not too look!!

moonrise 05-26-2011 04:31 AM

Normally Connecting Threads gives you free shipping on orders of $50 or more, but you can use the following code to get free shipping on lower-dollar orders:

FPFRESH - I used this code just a few minutes ago to get some more of those Mirage fabrics for $2.96 a yard

Also you can try APQFRESH. I haven't tried it myself, but it's supposed to give you free shipping too.

Both expire 6/1/11 according to the retailmenot website. :)

I use their thread all the time and love it. I use it for quilting, piecing and just plain sewing.

babyfireo4 05-26-2011 04:46 AM

hokieappmom 05-26-2011 04:48 AM

They had a fantastic sale not long ago and I got 7 packs of fat quarters at 40% - 50% off. They are having another great sale now, so here I go again.....

atvrider 05-26-2011 04:53 AM

I'm with you. I do get into trouble. I have started just deleting the e-mails I get. It is too easy to talk myself into getting things I really don't need. I do like CT though. I have ordered many times from them and had great service.

BettyBoop70 05-26-2011 05:29 AM

I get most of my fabric from Connecting threads and I love it. Has anyone ordered from Avalon Bloom?? Especially a kit?? Wasn't as happy with mine as I thought I would be.

babyfireo4 05-26-2011 05:36 AM

moonrise :) I hold no grudges, now I have some basting glue, golden threads quilting paper, fabric, and paper piecing double wedding ring comin my way! free shipping worked great! (only spent 30 bucks this time)

PaperPrincess 05-26-2011 05:36 AM

Several times I have gone to their site to purchase one spool of thread. Amazing how 1 spool usually costs $50 ;-)
